Odesk offers various categories and job openings. To be hired as an independent contractor at oDesk you must pass the oDesk readiness test. Take the free skills test like MS Word, Excel and other skill that you may know.


To find online jobs explore the Find contractors & jobs button. Then click on find Jobs. There are thousands of open positions that you can apply for. It will be depending on your chosen field and expertise.

Step by Step Guide in Odesk

STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO CREATE Your PROFILE IN ODESK

STEP 1. CLICK Create an Account button – it is located on the upper right hand corner.


STEP 2. Get Started by checking the (circle) freelance Contractor - I want to earn money as an independent contractor (located at the left side of the page)


STEP 3. Apply for a FREE oDesk account (also on the left side of the page.) Fill in all the blanks marked * that requires information. After successfully filling up the form. After filling up the form just click the continue button. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

STEP 4 Post your Profile – Complete all the four steps ( verify the email address, fill out contact of information, complete your odesk profile and accept the oDesk useragreement.
After verifying your email a message “Dear Jandy Your email address jandy_junpyo@yahoo.com has been verified. Thank you!” will appear and then CLICK Continue. You will notice that the verified email is already checked or finished. Then proceed to fill out contact of information and so on and so forth.

Choose 10 categories that you can do best…..for example web researcher, data entry and so on. Select the primary role whether you are a data entry specialist or a programmer. Set the hourly rate at the most conservative rate of $1. Your weekly availability will depends on your weekly schedule. At least 10 to 40 hours per week. You title should be captivating or can attract the attention of the employer. Then Click Save and Continue. Post your profile.


STEP 5. EDIT AND UPDATE YOUR PROFILE. To update your profile, you can upload a photo, take the oDesk readiness test to increase the number of job application quota. It is important to make your profile at least 80 % complete before applying to a job.

STEP 6 Take the oDesk Readiness Test for Independent Contractors and Staffing Managers.. If failed to pass the test, You can retake the exam any time. Be sure to download the odesk team. oDesk Team For employers and contractors.

Note:
Passing the odesk readiness test can enable you to have a higher job application quota. Which means higher chances to be hired and have an online job.

Happy Father’s Day

When does father’s day started? Father’s Day is celebrated every third Sunday of the June. Giving thanks to our father who made us see the beauty of the world. It is a great day to treat our father; honestly my father is a very simple person who doesn’t want anything for himself as long as his children could eat three times a day… When I was young I always saw my father farming, planting rice, trees, fruits and vegetable. It’s where he gets our educational expenses…..

I salute my father for all his hard work; just give us a quality education and a comfortable life. Now that I am a parent too I can clearly understand every word they use to tell us when we were small. He loves to wear hat, and perfume. One thing that he keeps on looking at the Department Store is that Rado Watch. I hope I can buy that to make him happier. Even though he never asks for it I can see with the looks in his eyes that he really likes that watch………. I’ve seen the price and it’s a bit expensive. But for a wonderful father like him he deserves more, I don’t care how much the price. Seeing him smile makes me happy too. To the wonderful father all over the world Happy Father’s Day! Cheers…. 

I was inspired by the Hanging Garden of Babylon. I have found a garden who have grown plants in front of their house. Most of them are flowering plants, vegetables and herbs. It was one of the attractions in the neighborhood. They were amazed how they turn the place into a beautiful garden

Marikina City being the shoe capital of the Philippines had made the world renowned largest shoes. It measures 5.29 meters long, 2.37 meters wide and 1.83 meters high. It can carry 30 pairs of normal shoe size. Shoemakers made the shoes for 77 days in year 2002. The whole shoes materials are equal to 250 pairs of regular shoes. To fill the shoes you have to be big enough and 125 feet tall.

Sunday’s Delicious Recipe " Menudo Especial"

I was thinking of a delicious recipe that I can cook for Family Day. My husband suggested to cook his favorite “my special menudo recipe”.

Here are the ingredients:

1 kilo of Pork belly (cut into strips)
1 kilo of Potato (cut into stips)
1 red bell pepper (medium size
1 carrot (cut into strips)
1 big can of liver spread
6 cloves of garlic (chopped)
2 red onions (chopped)
2 tbsp of soysauce
3 tbsp of. Calamansi juice
1 pouch 200g (UFC ready recipe menudo sauce)
Salt and pepper to taste

For marinate: 2 tbsp of soysauce and 3 tbsp of. Calamansi juice, 1tsp salt, chopped onion and garlic

Preparation:

1. Marinate pork for 15 to 30 minutes in calamansi and soysauce mixture with the half portion of chopped.onion and garlic

2. Boil the marinated pork in a mixture for 10 minutes or until the pork is tender(set aside)

3. In a casserole, heat the olive oil. Over medium-high heat, fry the potatoes and carrot. Add the remaining chopped onions, garlic, bell pepper and pork. Saute
for 10 minutes then add the pork broth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes

4. Add liver spread, menudo sauce and 1 cup of water, season with salt and pepper. Stir constantly, if you want it more sauce you can add another cup of water and seasoning.

5. Set the fire to a medium low heat and Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked
.
6. Best to serve with rice.
